John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer Parmanu will finally see a release this Friday on 25th May, 2018. However one cannot ignore the rushed release planned by the team.
Viewers got to see a full fledged promo only two weeks prior to release which is an unheard ploy used by any production or distribution team which is releasing a sizeable film with fairly sizeable production cost. Within 2 weeks of promotional window the film had very little space to reach out to a maximum pool of audience which it otherwise may have had it had a regular promotional campaign.
Also one cannot ignore the competition around the film from all ends. Raazi is running to fantastic occupancies in second week and it is expected to hold on to its rhythm even in its third week which will hamper Parmanu. Deadpool-2 although hasn’t fared very well will still take away one portion of showcasing in urban multiplexes. Then there is a Marathi film Bucket List starring Madhuri Dixit which has got buzz going its favour and will also see a good screen-share in Maharashtra with Dharma Productions backing the film.
So below are the predictions for the film:
First day: 3crs
If Word of Mouth is Good
First Week: 25crs
If Word of Mouth is Mixed
First Week: 19.5crs
If Word of Mouth is Bad
First Week: 15.5crs
Note: In case of Extreme “Word of Mouth” situation the lifetime numbers will oscillate accordingly.
